NCRSM Emily Flude

National Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major, Cadet Warrant Officer Emily Flude joined the Australian Army Cadets in February of 2018 at 62 ACU in Launceston, Tasmania. In November of that year, she completed her LCPL Course.

In January of 2019 Emily completed her Junior Leadership Course and was awarded the student of merit, she was then promoted to the rank of Corporal. During the year she also attended the Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge and participated in the RSMA Drill Competition.

In January of 2020 Emily completed her Senior Leadership Course and was awarded with the leadership award at the end of the course. She was then appointed as the training Sergeant at 62 ACU. During 2020 Emily worked both at the unit and from home as cadets operated from home due to COVID-19 restrictions, implementing at home training each week.

At the beginning of 2021 Emily completed her CUOs course and was awarded the student of merit award. She was then appointed as a platoon commander at 62 ACU. At the beginning of July, she was appointed to the Regional Cadet Adjutant. She worked alongside the RCUO to plan TAS Battalions AFX 2021 which was a success.

She has also had the opportunity to participate in various ANZAC and Remembrance Day services as well as instructing on many courses.

In late 2021, Emily was selected as the National Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major and assumed the position at the start of 2022.

As the National Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major, along with the National Cadet Under Officer, National Cadet Adjutant, and National Cadet Training Officer, CDTWO Emily Flude will endeavour to make cadets accessible to each individual youth member, from recruits to NCOs, by acting as the point of contact between national AAC HQ and individual units. She will ensure that the exceptional quality of the policies and traditions within the Australian Army Cadets are sustained whilst working to facilitate the implementation of the new Cadet Development Continuum and personal initiatives.
