National Cadet Adjutant – Australian Army Cadets
National Cadet Training Officer Kasey Yates was born on the 5th of February 2003 in New South Wales. Kasey Yates attended Lake Illawarra High school where she became the school vice captain for 2021. In July 2017, Kasey joined the 26 Australian Army Cadet Unit in Wollongong.
Kasey Yates was promoted to Lance Corporal in September 2018 then in the following year in January 2019 was promoted to Corporal where she took up a position as a recruit section commander.
In June 2019 Kasey attended the Sergeants course where she was promoted. Following the next year in 2020, Kasey attended the first online promotion course for New South Wales where she was then promoted to a Cadet Warrant Officer Class Two where she held the position of a Cadet Sergeant Major at 26 Australian Army Cadet Unit, Wollongong.
In September 2021, Kasey was successfully promoted to the Regional Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major for New South Wales.
Kasey Yates was awarded in 2021 the Bronze Commendation. She then attended the New South Wales Adventure Training Award course where she received the Silver Commendation for being the DUX runner up for the course.
In late 2021, Kasey was selected as the National Cadet Training Officer, and assumed the position at the start of 2022.
As the National Cadet Training Officer, along with the National Cadet Under Officer, National Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major and National Cadet Adjutant, RCUO Kasey Yates will endeavour to make cadets accessible to each individual youth member, from recruits to NCOs, by acting as the point of contact between national AAC HQ and individual units. She will ensure that the exceptional quality of the policies and traditions within the Australian Army Cadets are sustained whilst working to facilitate the implementation of the new Cadet Development Continuum and personal initiatives.
